List of Facilities Surveyed by Panels A, B and C

Each of Panels A - C of the ASTRONET Infrastructure Roadmap Working Group has identified a number of existing and future facilities that may be important in delivering the goals of the Science Vision. Both entirely new facilities and major upgrade projects are considered, and all will require significant European contributions in order to become fully funded. The list includes a few projects that are either precursors for later, large facilities, need additional investment in order to become fully mature, or are non-European projects in which a European participation could be considered.

In order to base the discussion of priorities on the most complete and up-to-date information available, a questionnaire survey of the facilities listed below is being undertaken. The survey also addresses a number of specific issues that will be useful background information for the work of Panels D and E. Together, this information will enable the Panels and Working group to base the development of its prioritised plan over the coming months on an accurate understanding of the status and needs of the facilities and projects under consideration.
