ASTRONET is pleased to announce that it is organising a dedicated symposium session at the European Astronomical Society (EAS) Annual Meeting 2026, which will take place in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Together with EAS, ESO, ESA, SKAO, and CTAO, ASTRONET is contributing to the development of a session focused on the future of European astronomy. This symposium will take place on 1 July 2026 and will bring together major stakeholders, research communities, and strategic partners to discuss long-term scientific ambitions, coordinated planning, and a shared vision for astronomy in Europe in the coming decades.
The session is listed as Symposium S16 – “The Future of European Astronomy” at EAS 2026.
More information is available on the EAS meeting website: https://eas.unige.ch/EAS_meeting/session.jsp?id=S16
We look forward to contributing to this important discussion and to meeting the community in Lausanne
